i did not see if SM will avoid people. some people will try to bump you to find out if you are a bot. i was looking to see if SM warps to a new belt if someone shows up? or gets to close?

SM can be set to avoid a belt if there are players already there, but it will not warp out when a new player warps in.

But it will detect distance change between ship and asteroid and if you set laser optimal range = 5000, it will react in most cases with approaching to asteroid. This is especially usefull for Ice mining, where you dont need optimal range of lasers to mine more then one asteroid.
