I've been using the hauler function for a few weeks now and with some initial setup problems, the script has been working great.  I decided to try using the hauler with my character that has the skills to fly a freighter and one thing that makes using a freighter impractical to use is it's agility.  On avagerage, it took me nearly an hour longer for the script to haul all my ore from 6 stations to Jita than it does if I do it by hand.  The problem I've seen is this, when undocking from a station, the script doesn't wait for the freighter to come to a complete stop before engaging warp.  This ship pivots better from a stop than when it's shoved out of the station at speed.  I've timed it some and if I do what the script does and clicks the stop button, then selects the gate I need.  It will take up to 2 mins to line up for warp.  That could be even longer if the gate is 180 degrees from the station exit.  If I stop the ship completely, it usually take about a min to swing around and jump into warp. Granted that's not a big savings in time, but if your having to make several trips to each station, that does add up.

Anyway, just some thing that I've been meaning to mention.

An hour longer? Wow.  Shocked

So we should get the script to wait for it to almost stop then get it to warp to gate? Smiley

You say it takes a minute for the freighter to align and warp from standstill. But what about the time it takes for the ship to go from full pelt out of the station to a complete stop?

Yeah, when the ship is launched out of the station, and the gate is 90 degrees or more to the left or right.  It takes two mins for the freighter to align to the gate and jump into warp.  Now I haven't included the time it takes for the ship to stop, so there might not be any real difference, but just seems to be shorter when I use my freighter manually than with the script.  Not many skills help a freighter, other than Adv Spaceship Command.  Where I get hung up the most is leaving Jita.  The gate I need to use is almost 180 degrees from the station exit, and roughly 15 degrees up.  So basically it's behind and to the upper right with part of the station exterior in the way.  If the freighter isn't stopped, the ship runs into part of the station and has to move out of the way to finish the alignment for warp.  That one station adds the most time to the hauling than any one else.  Seems that with these larger ships, they don't pivot as much as say a BS, or Industrial, when needing to align to a gate, they make more of a sweeping turn, kind of like driving a truck pulling a double trailer.  :p  Stopping the ship completely, or at least down to 15 m/s or less, then initiate the warp, has been the only way I've been able to avoid bouncing off the station.

Anyway, just things I've noticed.

the best thing to implement would be a undock insta-warp bookmark. So you would insta-warp to the bookmark x distance from the station. As you stop warp you would be stopped and then you can warp to the gate Smiley

Hadn't thought of that, will have to give it a go and see how it works out.

Got around to using the hauler script again, and it just keeps getting better and better.  Smiley  This time I didn't have any type hangups, which had happened from time to time.

Two thing that came to mind after I came home after running some errands, is to have an auto log off function after all cargo has been hauled, instead of just sitting at the last station for hours.

Don't know if this isn't already happening, but I think it's time to combine the support files update with the auto update feature that happens when you launch Eve Tools.  Why make people do two types of updates when it can be rolled into one when it's first launched.

Also noticed that their has been added a bunch of new items to haul.  Smiley  Can't remember if the deliver to options was in the last version I used, and shows a lot of promise.  Smiley  Will come in handy when I need to stock crystals to all my stations.  Would still like to see unrefined ore added somehow.  The Haul everything works well enough for now, but still would be nice to be able to just pick up only ore.

Thanks again and keep up the great work    Grin

Sure, I can add in an auto log off feature easy Smiley

Auto update is a good idea.

I have added and tested the anti-disconnect code on Traveler, the same way SM handles disconnects, and it works nicely. Although adding this to the others won't be so easy since they involve right-clicking. So what happens when Eve suddenly crashes/exits right after it right clicks to a Select All or while dragging items around or tries to set a destination? I will need to make sure those are covered when it recovers from a disconnect. Smiley

And I just thought of an idea on how to pick up only ores just now, which might work. Grin

One other thing I noticed.  Hauler was trying to load a station vault into my Freighter one day.  Thought it was fixed so the script would not do that.  I got around it by typing "Vel" in the search box on the hangar window and the hauler script picked up the ore like it was the only thing in the hangar.  I had to do that each time it came to that station until all the ore was gone, but was better than skipping that station completely.  Smiley
